Lingotter Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-13. This policy explains how Lingotter handles data while providing live multilingual caption services.

Data we process

When a host creates a meeting, we store the meeting name, scheduled time, language settings, payment status, and necessary operational records.

During a meeting, the browser captures the host-selected audio input and sends audio in real time to third-party AI speech recognition and translation services for transcription and translation.

Long-term raw audio storage is not a product goal; except for troubleshooting, compliance, or security needs, we do not retain raw audio long term.

How audio and captions are used

Audio is processed by secure speech services to generate text and translations, then distributed to the host console, screen page, and audience page.

Captions are generated live by AI and may contain omissions, mistranslations, delays, or proper-noun errors. They should not be the sole official record.

For highly sensitive content, hosts should confirm attendee awareness and evaluate whether live AI captioning is appropriate.

Third-party services

We use third-party AI speech recognition and translation services for real-time speech processing.

We use payment processor for payments. Sensitive payment data such as card numbers is handled by payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers.

When login is enabled, we use login provider for account login and identity.

Retention and deletion

Meeting configuration, payment records, and necessary logs are retained for operations, accounting, and security needs.

Hosts can delete meetings in Dashboard. Deleting a meeting removes the meeting record and related session records.
